Squashdang!

Last night I cooked Spaghetti Squash for the first time.  Trader Joe's is selling whole squash(es?) for $1.70, so how could one resist?  I put that sucker in a roasting pan, poked a lot of holes in it with a knife, and roasted for 1 hour at 375 degrees.

This is what happened when I cut it in half:

Whoaaaaa, stringy!

Ok, this is some next level alien shit...

Piles of scraped out 'noodles'

(honestly, who first thought to eat this bizarre looking thing?)

Wait... I never knew alien could taste so good!

Delicious Sauce Contains:
Tomato, basil, cholula, red pepper flakes, ground cumin, garlic powder, salt, pepper

There you have it.  Spaghetti Squash!!!

Everyone Else Is Doing It...

So I have to update my blaaarg too!!! I am very motivated by peer pressure and a constant need to conform.  Just kidding?  I'm not sure guys- am I just kidding or not?  I need a second opinion.  VALIDATE ME!

The following awesome things happened over the past two weeks:

1.  David came to L.A.!  It was radical.  We went to a mediocre Nosaj Thing show (it was fun anyways), and celebrated...

2. Michelle and Jamie's Wedding!

It went like this:

The excited Bride and Groom at the rehearsal dinner!! (awwwwwww)

Handsome Devils!

Definitely not diet.

We are magically whisked away to the following evening, and are seated outside at the lovely Woodland Hills Country Club

Dave, Rex, Brie, my hubs all lookin' sharp

Flower Girl and Ring Bearer do their adorable thang

Due to my lame crying, this perfect pic of the bride and groom came out blurry (DANG!)

Which takes us to the incredibly fun reception full of club sodas & lime.

Michelle and Jamie are in the chairs for the Hora! L'Chaim!!

--Blog Post Interruption!  My next door neighbor just got process served and I can hear the whole awkward exchange happening outside our front door... We saw her get arrested right before the rehearsal dinner--

Johnny owned the dancefloor like a boss

Mmm, club soda

We took back the night

And did the traditional family dance full of grace and beauty, which was lovingly passed down to us by our fore-stepfathers.

Jamie and mom looking damn fancy

All the new siblings toasting the happy occasion with tiny glasses of water.  Its a Jewish tradition!

O hai, we're bowling now!

Cosmically bowling!!!

I am so proud of my bros!  <3 <3 <3 <3

Such a fun weekend and a beautiful wedding!!!!  Jamie and Michelle are awesome.
