And ya know, Coachella is way more comfortable in the cold. No sweat rolling down my legs while being stanked out by unfortunate proximity to other people's armpits. We wore jeans and brought jackets for night time. Sitting in the sun was pleasant, and I could actually hold a good buzz from the beer garden.
My favorite shows were: Dr. P & Flux Pavilion, Snoop and Dre (and hologram Tupac), Pulp, Borgore, Calvin Harris, Mazzy Star, Le Butcherettes, Girls, Datsik, Modeselektor, SubFocus, Miike Snow, Flying Lotus, Buzzcocks, Gaslamp Killer, Madness, Noisia, Wild Flag, Noel Gallagher, and of couse the three-day long bro-show in the beer garden.
Traffic, crowd control, lines, bathrooms were all greatly improved this year. There's even free water refill stations. And the food situation was really impressive (choice, quality, etc.) Even the stages sounded better! Now that the venue has expanded, the noise-bleed isn't as severe as it used to be.
